Donna Dimarchopoulou

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa
ABOUT DONNA
Donna Dimarchopoulou studied at the School of Biology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH, Greece), where she earned her BSc in Biology (2011), MSc in Hydrobiology-Aquaculture (2015), and PhD in Fisheries Biology and management (2020). Currently, she is a postdoctoral associate at AUTH and a guest investigator at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (USA). In January 2026, she will begin her appointment as an Assistant Professor of ecosystem-based fisheries biology at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. Her research focuses on marine fisheries and ecosystem dynamics, using modeling to assess the impacts of fishing regulations and climate change on the sustainability of marine populations.
